The 4th China New Materials Industry Development Conference|Forum 3 Biomass materials

The 4th China New Materials Industry Development Conference was held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province during October 8-11, 2023. The conference was co-sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Materials Research Society and the Wenzhou Municipal People's Government. Facing the major needs of the country, aiming at major breakthroughs in key strategic materials, and closely focusing on the national new material strategic layout of "forward-looking layout", "short board breakthrough" and "independent advantage guarantee system construction", the conference set up a total of 72 sub-forums, involving seven categories: key basic materials, key energy materials, key information materials, biomedical materials, health and comfort materials, environmental engineering materials and safety engineering materials, focusing on the three themes of industrialization of cutting-edge new materials, "stuck neck" key materials and key basic support materials. At the same time, nearly 1,000 characteristic experts in the field of new materials were promoted by "Science and Technology Innovation China", nearly 1,000 industrialization achievements in the field of new materials were promoted by "Science and Technology Innovation China", nearly 1,000 new material technology requirements were released by "Science and Technology Innovation China", and the release, exchange and docking of key industrialization technology achievements involving 72 sub-forums.

Dr. Qiu Lei, founder of Green Energy Fiber Company, was invited to participate in the third sub-forum of the conference - biomass materials, and made invited reports on the topics of bio-based green new materials in the new era, bio-based material sustainability, market demand and future development of bio-based materials, and application fields of bio-based new materials.
